Have you been looking for a place where you and your spouse can grow in your relationship with God and each other? A group of other Young, newly married couples to give and receive encouragement? A time where you can be accountable to others who are in the same stage of life as you are?
Then our Foundation Group might be the right place for you!
Our desire is to walk in community with young couples who have been married three years, or less. This community happens in the context of what is known as a “foundation group”. Although we have some elements of traditional teaching methods as a part of our time together, this model functions a little different than a typical “Sunday School” class experience in a few ways:
First – Our teaching time is comprised of 8 marriage specific book studies along with 7 other studies that are more general in nature.
Second – We not only meet all together, but will also meet separately (husbands and wives) for accountability. This involves a time of fellowship, prayer, Bible Study (REAP) and accountability questions. You will want to begin reading the daily devotional (Monday through Friday) at www.jointhejourney.com or you can download the Watermark Community Church App. Our Foundation Study Guide book gives a clear explanation of how this works.
Third – After you have gone through approximately 2 ½ years of this experience, the Foundation Group will begin a brand new cycle. At this point, it would be in your best interest to move on to a different class/department as the material will begin to repeat itself.
